Beat Hotel London this October

The Beat goes on the road...

We’re teaming up with Ilegal Mezcal to take some of our fave London restaurants on a trip through Mexico, before returning for a four-nighter in London, 13-16 October.

Chefs from Acme Fire Cult, Tollington’s and Hausu take a deep dive into Oaxaca, ahead of a Beat Hotel London restaurant series, where they bring to life their experiences of local food traditions and techniques.

First up, on Tuesday 13 October, it’s Acme Fire Cult’s Andrew Clarke – hot off the back of his slow-cooked Acme Tacos keeping the masses nourished at We Out Here last month. On Wednesday 14 October, Ed McIlroy of North London favourites The Plimsoll and Bar Etna, hosts, at his fish-focused Finsbury Park outpost, Tollington’s.

For the second half, the programme heads south. On Thursday 15, it’s the turn of chef Holly Middleton-Joseph of Peckham’s Hausu to serve up her take on Oaxacan flavours, before the series dancefloor finale at The Carpet Shop on Friday 16 October, with Coco María, John Gómez and Ri Mistry.
