Jannis Stürtz, a.k.a. Habibi Funk, is a committed collector of funk and jazz records from North Africa and the Middle East. With an eye for gold from the 1970s and 80s, he re-presses them with a view to introducing them to a new generation.

Inspired by a recent trip to Morocco, he built this set from tracks sourced in Marrakech, Rabat and Casablanca, peppered with uplifting gems from further afield. Created for Crack Magazine, in anticipation of Beat Hotel Marrakech 2020.
